Coinciding with the 172nd anniversary of Antoni Gaud\u00ed’s birth (June 25, 1852), the most extensive and complete work of research that has been dedicated to date to the Episcopal Palace of Astorga will be presented at the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, a book that reveals the secrets and history behind one of Spain’s most outstanding architectural treasures.<\/p>\n
The book “Palacio Gaud\u00ed Astorga”, the result of years of research and dedication, represents a historical milestone in itself. Among its pages are unpublished documents and an in-depth study of the context, history and construction of the building. The event will be attended by the book’s author, Jairo \u00c1lvarez, who will share his experiences and discoveries during the research process. In addition, V\u00edctor Murias, director of the Episcopal Palace of Astorga, the Bishop of Astorga, Jes\u00fas Fern\u00e1ndez, and the president delegate of the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia, Esteve Camps, will be present to offer their perspectives on the importance of the Gaud\u00ed Palace in the architectural legacy of the region and the cultural and historical relationship between the Diocese of Astorga and Catalonia. <\/p>\n
The presentation will take place next Tuesday, June 25 at the Basilica of the Sagrada Familia at 6:30 pm.
