{"id":9202,"date":"2018-10-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-29T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.palaciodegaudi.es\/bricks-made-with-gaudis-original-molds-are-now-on-sale\/"},"modified":"2026-04-13T14:01:20","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T12:01:20","slug":"bricks-made-with-gaudis-original-molds-are-now-on-sale","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.palaciodegaudi.es\/en\/bricks-made-with-gaudis-original-molds-are-now-on-sale\/","title":{"rendered":"Bricks made with Gaud\u00ed&#8217;s original molds are now on sale."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The signing of the agreement dated May 25, 2018, in Astorga, for the dissemination of Gaudinian heritage between the Gaud\u00ed Palace of Astorga and the Alfar Museum of Jim\u00e9nez de Jamuz, has borne fruit.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->After a delicate and meticulous work with the molds of the Genius and the Clay of the bastion of the Castilian Leonese pottery. <strong>Already on sale at the Gaud\u00ed Palace and the Alfar Museum are 200 unique pieces<\/strong>, numbered, serialized and referenced with the original stamps of both institutions and documentation that make them unique.<\/p>\n<p>The pieces have been made following all the traditional steps, from the extraction of the clay in the village&#8217;s clay pits to the firing with urces in the Arab oven, including the decoration, brick by brick, with pintos and glazing.<\/p>\n<p>The pieces created correspond to two molds that gave rise to two types of voussoirs, which are recognizable in the Palace itself in various rooms.<\/p>\n<p>This is the first step towards the global dissemination of a piece of Gaud\u00ed&#8217;s work in the city of Astorga.
