The Gaud\u00ed Palace will host a concert that will take place next Saturday, April 25 in the chapel of the monument. The event will bring together the clarinet areas of the Municipal Schools of Music of Astorga and Toro in a meeting that highlights the value of musical training and exchange between students from different localities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The press conference was attended by Tom\u00e1s Valle, Councilman of Culture and head of the Municipal School of Music of Astorga; V\u00edctor Murias, director of the Gaud\u00ed Palace; and Mar\u00eda Alonso, clarinet teacher at the Astorga school.<\/p>\n\n

During the presentation, the relevance of this initiative was highlighted not only as an educational activity, but also as a cultural proposal open to the public, which will allow to enjoy the joint work of 26 students, accompanied by their respective teachers, in a format of musical coexistence. The concert is also part of the program of activities commemorating the centenary of the death of Antonio Gaud\u00ed, thus reinforcing the link between heritage, culture and contemporary creation. <\/p>\n\n

The concert repertoire will offer a varied repertoire, with works ranging from baroque to contemporary compositions, including popular pieces and adaptations for clarinet ensemble. Both schools will present their own programs that reflect the work developed throughout the course. <\/p>\n\n

This meeting is a unique opportunity to approach emerging talent and enjoy music in a unique space such as the chapel of the Palace, consolidating the institution’s commitment to cultural dissemination and artistic training. “We are proud to open the doors for this type of event and to have room for music inside the Palace. They will become ambassadors of our heritage, culture and hospitality when they return to their homes in Toro,” said the director of the Gaud\u00ed Palace, V\u00edctor Murias. <\/p>\n\n

The concert will take place on Saturday, April 25 at 5 pm.<\/p>\n\n
