Gaudí Palace inaugurates the 360º virtual experience

The Gaudí Palace in Astorga implements from Tuesday May 6 a new immersive virtual reality experience designed to complement the on-site visit for visitors who come to see the monument.

Virtual reality glasses will accompany visitors on a journey through the history of Astorga and the construction of the Palace. The tour, which was inaugurated this Tuesday by the students of the 2nd year of ESO of the Colegio La Salle, allows them to fly over the history and the monument from a bird’s eye view. From the Roman settlement of Asturica Augusta to the arrival of Gaudí in Astorga, including the War of Independence and the fire that devastated the old Episcopal Palace in 1886, the virtual experience allows you to see the Palace from a new point of view.

The virtual experience is offered inside the Gaudí Palace in general, so that the visitor can enjoy it at the end of the tour in the twelve stations located on the second floor of the building. The inclusion of new technologies has been a constant in recent years at the Palace, where various projects based on the 360º experience are being designed.

Óptima Cultura has designed and developed the virtual station that allows the visualization of the experience through specific glasses for this purpose. Thanks to a powerful team of software and hardware developers and the work of audiovisual production in degrees, you can enjoy this new first class experience. Stunning panoramic views, impossible perspectives and an immersive realism that impresses with its beauty. The visit to the Palace is thus completed with a new look. From Wednesday, the entrance to the Gaudí Palace includes a 360º experience through the temple, which will also be available in different languages.
