More than 125,000 people visited Gaudí’s Palace in 2025

The Gaudí Palace in Astorga has closed the year 2025 with a very positive balance, once again surpassing the figure of 125,000 visitors. This is especially significant if we take into account that the fires that occurred during the summer months partly affected the number of visitors during that period.

Even so, August was once again the month with the highest number of visits, with almost 20,000 people, confirming the Palace’s strength as one of the city’s main cultural and heritage attractions during the summer season.

As for the origin of the visitors, the majority profile was that of the national public. Visitors from Madrid, León, Barcelona and Asturias, communities that continue to show a remarkable interest in the building designed by Antonio Gaudí.

International audiences also played an important role throughout the year. By number of visitors, the main countries of origin were the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, France and the United States, which reaffirms the international projection of the Palace within the European cultural routes.

During 2025, more than 9,000 pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago crossed the doors of the Palace, attracted both by its architectural value and its historical link with the diocese of Astorga. They are joined by more than 11,000 students, reflecting the growing educational interest in the building and its historical-artistic context.

Guided tours continued to be one of the public’s favorite options, with more than 12,000 people opting for this modality. Likewise, the Hidden Palace experience brought together nearly 9,000 participants, consolidating itself as a unique proposal to discover the lesser-known areas of the monument.
