During the past month of May, more than 700 people had the opportunity to discover the Hidden Palace of Astorga, a new and exciting tour inside Gaudí’s historic Palace. This project, which was forged in 2013, opened to the public on May 1, 2024, and has been received with great enthusiasm by visitors.
“We are very satisfied with the figure and the assessment is very positive for the Palace. More than 700 people have gone up in the new panoramic elevator and discovered the terraces and undercroft of the monument. The public’s assessment has been very positive and we would also like to thank the local, provincial, regional and national media for the attention paid to this opening, which has given visibility to the project,” said Víctor Manuel Murias, director of the Gaudí Palace.
In addition, Murias added that work is already underway in other areas, without revealing which ones. This figure comes on top of a new record number of visits to the building during the month of May. Since entries began to be counted, the month of May 2024 has exceeded 13,000 visitors, setting a new milestone for the Gaudí Palace.
Currently, tickets to visit the Palacio Escondido can only be purchased through the Palace’s physical ticket office. However, systems are being implemented for the sale of tickets through the website and its online platform, which will be available soon.
The Gaudí Palace can be visited every day from 10 am to 2 pm in the mornings and from 4 pm to 8 pm in the afternoons.
